  • BIOGRAPHY
    Born in Mexico City in 1946. He studied drawing at the National School of Plastic Arts, and continued his education in his stepfather's atelier, the sculptor Federico Canessi. He has been involved in architecture too, designing his own houses, and as a project consultant for several Mexican architects. Since 1967 he participated in several collective exhibitions like the Biennial of Modern Art in Mexico City and Paris. His public work is extensive, he has created several projects for the Architect Pedro Ramírez Vázquez, and he has more than 100 sculptures all around Mexico. Internationally, his work can be found in The Vatican in Italy, in the United States, Spain, Dominican Republic and Panama. Besides his personal work, he has created medallions, high-reliefs, busts and monuments in a diversity of materials such as bronze, stone and resin.
